🛂 China now offers  up to 240-hour  visa-free transit

Got a layover in Beijing?
See the real city with a local.

Skip the scripted 40-person bus tours. Beijing has been my home since 2004. I pick you up at the airport in my Tesla, and we spend the day on whatever you're curious about — the Great Wall, street food, an old bathhouse. Private 1 or 2-day tours, max 4 guests.

🗓 Summer 2026: I host only a limited number of tours in July & August — first come, first served

Good news for travelers

You can leave the airport — for free

Passengers from 50+ countries transiting through Beijing can enter China visa-free for up to 240 hours (10 days), as long as you're flying onward to a third country. That's plenty of time to actually see Beijing instead of staring at a departure board.

  • No visa, no application fee — just show your onward ticket
  • Enter at Beijing Capital (PEK) or Daxing (PKX)
  • I'll help confirm you qualify before you book

What we can do

Pick what you're curious about

You don't have to choose from a fixed menu. These are the things people love most — mix and match, and I'll build the day around it.

🏯

The Forbidden City

The heart of imperial Beijing. I'll get us in early, before the tour groups flood in.

🧱

The Great Wall

A quieter, wilder stretch — not the packed section every bus goes to.

🥟

Real Street Food

Jianbing, lamb skewers, hidden hutong noodle spots. Where locals actually eat.

♨️

Bathhouse (洗浴)

A true Beijing ritual — soak, scrub, tea, and a nap. Nothing relaxes a jet-lagged body more.

🏮

Hutong Alleys

The old grey-brick neighborhoods. Bikes, courtyards, and daily life you can't Google.

🍵

Tea, Markets & More

Tell me your thing — art, antiques, night markets, rooftop views. We'll fit it in.

Your host — a Beijing local
Your host

Hi, I'm a Beijinger — not a tour company

I'm not a licensed guide reciting dates and dynasty names. What I offer is different: I show you my Beijing — where I eat, where I relax, the corners visitors never find. It's just you and me (and your group), moving at your pace.

If you'd rather skip the museum and spend two hours in a bathhouse drinking tea, that's a perfect day. This is about experiencing the city like someone who lives here — not checking boxes.

Simple

How it works

1

Tell me your layover

Send your flight times and what you're into. I'll confirm you qualify for visa-free transit.

2

I design your day

You get a custom plan — sights, food, transport, timing — all worked out. Adjust anything.

3

We explore

I meet you, we go. You relax and enjoy Beijing while I handle every detail and back to your flight.

Pricing

All-inclusive. One price, zero surprises.

The price below covers everything for the day: me as your host, Tesla transport with airport pickup, all entrance tickets, parking, and meals (breakfast & lunch). You never reach for your wallet during the day. Prices are for 2 guests — add the per-guest supplement for 3 or 4. A full private day works out to about $150 per person — less than most shared bus layover tours once you add up their hidden extras.

Questions

Good to know

Do I really not need a visa?

If you're transiting through Beijing to a third country and hold a passport from an eligible country, you can enter visa-free for up to 240 hours. Send me your nationality and route and I'll confirm before you commit.

Am I insured during the tour?

Yes. Every guest is covered by a short-term travel accident insurance policy (accidental injury + medical) for the duration of the tour — included in the price, arranged before we meet. The car also carries passenger liability coverage.

Do we drive everywhere?

Mostly, yes — the Tesla covers the airport, the Great Wall, and everything outside the center. But right in the city core (like the Forbidden City) parking simply doesn't exist, so we do exactly what locals do: park at the National Centre for the Performing Arts nearby, or hop on the subway for a stop or two. It's honestly part of the experience — and every ticket is already included in your price.

How many people can you take?

Up to 4 guests — one couple or one small family. I drive you myself in my Tesla, so the whole day is private and door-to-door. No strangers, no bus, no waiting.

Are you a licensed tour guide?

No — and that's the point. I'm a local host, not a scripted guide. I show you the city the way I actually live it. If you need a formal licensed guide for a specific site, I can arrange one.

What if my flight is delayed or changes?

Layovers are unpredictable — I get it. We stay flexible and reshuffle the plan around your real timing. Free rescheduling.

How do I pay? Are there hidden costs?

No hidden costs — the price is all-inclusive (tickets, meals, transport, parking). A 25% deposit via PayPal or Wise confirms your booking; the balance is settled in person on the day (cash, card, or transfer). The only things you pay separately are dinner and the bathhouse, directly at the venue. Free rescheduling if your flight changes, and a full refund if you're denied visa-free entry.

Is it safe? I don't speak Chinese.

Beijing is extremely safe, and you'll have a local with you the whole time handling language, transport, and payments. Just enjoy it.
